Is a security deposit required?
Yes. The amount depends on the value of the equipment rented and is stated on the quote. It is returned after the equipment has been checked on return, less any refurbishment costs.
Do you deliver the equipment?
Yes, delivery and collection are included in our packages. The cost depends on distance and is shown on the quote. Collection in person remains possible if you have a suitable vehicle.
Do I need technical skills?
No. The equipment arrives pre-configured, cables are labelled and every package comes with an illustrated wiring guide. We stay reachable by phone for the whole event. A technician can also stay on site as an option.
What happens if I cancel?
Cancellation terms appear on the quote and in our general rental terms. They depend on the notice given and the costs already incurred. Tell us as soon as you can: the earlier the cancellation, the less it costs.
Who is liable if something breaks?
The equipment is in your care for the duration of the rental: you are liable for loss, theft and damage. Check that your home or event insurance covers this. A failure caused by normal wear and tear remains our responsibility, and we handle the replacement.
Do I need to declare the music to a licensing body?
If your event plays recorded music, a declaration to the French collecting society SACEM is generally required, along with a contribution to SPRÉ for equitable remuneration. This is the responsibility of the event organiser, not of the equipment rental company. Rates vary by type of event: contact SACEM directly, ideally a fortnight before the date.
Are there sound level limits to respect?
Yes. French decree no. 2017-1244 regulates venues playing amplified music: the average level must not exceed 102 dB(A) over 15 minutes, and 105 dB(A) at peak. Stricter rules apply when children are present. Local prefectural and municipal orders also often set hours beyond which noise is penalised: check with the town hall where the event takes place.
What power supply do I need?
The Essentials package runs on two independent 16 A sockets. Beyond that, expect to need a dedicated line, or even a three-phase supply for the large-format package. Tell us what the venue offers in your quote request: we size the setup accordingly and supply a distribution box if needed.
How far do you travel?
We mainly work within our usual service area, shown in the footer. Beyond that it depends on the volume of equipment and the date: ask us, and we will tell you honestly whether it is workable.
How far in advance should I book?
Ideally two to three months for a wedding or a peak-season event (May to September, and December). For a small off-season party, a few weeks is often enough. Always ask: equipment is sometimes still available at the last minute.
